Net Wt. 32 oz (2 lbs)
The Boil (what it's born to do)
Add ¼ to ⅓ cup per gallon of water, straight into the pot with your potatoes, corn, sausage, and shellfish. Let it ride the whole cook so the flavor works its way into everything. For that restaurant-style finish, melt butter with a couple extra tablespoons of Lookin' Good and toss the drained boil in it before serving.
Beyond the Pot
- Shrimp & fish — Pat dry, dust both sides, sear or fry. Instant blackened-style crust.
- Wings — Toss raw wings in a light coat before baking or frying, then hit them again out of the oil.
- Fries, potatoes & corn — Sprinkle hot out of the fryer or off the grill.
- Dipping butter & aioli — Stir into melted butter or mayo for a 30-second sauce.
- Bloody Marys & micheladas — Rim the glass or shake a pinch into the mix.
A little goes far. It's seasoned to season — start light, taste, and build. Salt and MSG are already in the blend, so hold your extra salt until you've tasted.
Lookin' Good Garlic Butter Seafood Sauce (3-Ingredient Version)
Proof that the jar does the work. This is the whole sauce with nothing fancy — just butter, Lookin' Good Seafood Boil Seasoning, and a few things already in your kitchen. The paprika, garlic, onion, and freeze-dried lemon are all in the blend, so you're not building flavor from scratch. You're just melting, blooming, and pouring. Toss your shrimp, crab, or a full boil right in it, or serve it hot for dipping.
Yield: About 1 cup (coats 2 lbs of seafood or serves 4) | Prep: 5 minutes | Cook: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp Lookin' Good Seafood Boil Seasoning
- 4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Melt the butter. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter until it's fully liquid but not browning.
- Bloom the seasoning. Add the garlic and Lookin' Good seasoning. Stir and let it cook gently for about a minute, until fragrant. This pulls the paprika and lemon out of the blend — don't skip it.
- Loosen and finish. Stir in the water and lemon juice. Let it come together over low heat for a couple of minutes, swirling the pan, until glossy. Don't let it boil.
- Serve. Toss your cooked seafood right in the pan, or pour into a ramekin for dipping.
Tips
- The seasoning already has salt in it — taste before adding any more.
- Want it richer? Swirl in an extra tablespoon of cold butter off the heat.
- If it looks greasy or separated, add a splash of water and swirl to bring it back.
